Laura is the Deputy to the Vice President of Research, Data, and Innovation. She contributes to the staff mentoring process, reviews project proposals and manages the peer review process for WRI publications.

Laura is an economist with expertise in energy issues. Prior to joining WRI she worked for the Economic and Social Research Institute in Ireland, where she interacted with policy makers, companies and regulators and authored academic papers and policy reports. Her recent research focused on electricity markets and energy consumption behavior. She has also taught economics at Trinity College Dublin and Colby College, Maine.

Laura holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan, an M.Sc. in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona) and a Laurea (B.A.) in Economia e Commercio from the Universita’ La Sapienza (Rome).
