Logan is the Data and Technology Community Manager within WRI's Data Lab. In this role he helps advance the technological practices of individuals, teams, and the Institute to ensure they deliver impactful technology projects and are able to follow best practices for reproducibility and transparency in their research and analyses. Day to day Logan participates in WRI's review process for research and data, leads trainings and workshops on technology and software, and develops strategies and guidance for WRI's global staff.

Academically, Logan's background is in geology, the natural sciences, and remote sensing for environmental monitoring. He is an avid user and promoter of free and open source software as a way of self- and communal empowerment.

Logan lives in Washington, DC where he thinks globally and acts locally. Outside of WRI he enjoys cooking, live music, fresh air, digital design, and hand crafts such as sewing and sculpting.
