Madhavi is a Senior Advisor to the President and CEO. She is responsible for tracking, analyzing and providing guidance to the President on a full range of strategic, programmatic and operational issues to ensure that the most significant needs of the Institute are prioritized.

Prior to this, Madhavi was the Director of Engagement at WRI, where she led and supported the Institute's global efforts on engagement and impact strategy across the full scope of WRI’s work, with a special focus on the Global Climate program including the New Climate Economy (NCE). She was responsible for managing and implementing the overall engagement process for the climate program and primarily serving as engagement lead for the former NCE Global Commission. Madhavi is also part of the Core Communications Team and the Engagement Community of Practice and helped in building engagement focused capacity to enhance the reach and impact of WRI’s work.

Madhavi has over 15 years of experience in strategic engagement and building partnerships. Prior to joining WRI, Madhavi was with the United Nations Foundation overseeing operations and events for the Energy and Climate team and Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL). Her past experience includes working with the Clinton Global Initiative in New York and as a senior producer with Marcus Evans, Australia, producing cutting edge events across industry sectors with a focus on climate change and finance.

Madhavi holds a double Master's in International Relations and in International Business from Macquarie University, Australia and a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from Pune University, India.

She has lived in India, Qatar, Australia and now US. She loves to travel and cook and lives in Virginia (VA) with her husband and daughter.
